Philadelphia's Radio 80 looks back reverently on the energetic first-wave music of the 80s. Sure, some members of this band were sporting Bono-mullets back then, but that doesn't change the great tunes blasting from our car speakers. A decade of The Cars, Talking Heads, INXS, REM, Modern English, Ramones, The Cure, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Bowie, Flock of Seagulls, The Clash … admit it - you're singing along already.
Radio 80 performs hit radio rock of this era – with a few deep cut surprises sprinkled in – bringing a dynamic eighties sound to fans of that generation. So dredge up your acid-wash jeans, grab a checkered bandana and book Radio 80 for a private event or party, outdoor festival, or 80s-themed club night. We know you'll be rocking right along with us in no time. As we were fond of saying, everybody Wang Chung tonight, right?

Oh, he'll stop the world and melt with you alright! Meet Michael, the esteemed lead singer of Radio 80. He can croon with the best of 'em, and we're not even sure he was alive in the 80s! But we don't sweat the little details. When it comes to belting out the best rock music from this classic era, audiences will find themselves in good hands. (Just duck when he swings that guitar around!)
Don’t accuse Sandman of “tickling the ivories" – he’s pounding out synth sounds on pristine plastic keys baby! A fan of ALMOST any type of live music, he' played in area bands since, well, the 80s! Roland, Korg, Sound City, Ensoniq, Yamaha, Fender – he’s also owned and sold more keyboards over the years than he’d prefer to admit. If you

If you're lucky you might catch him reminiscing about the one that got away, not a keyboard – a car. 1968 Roadrunner in cherry red. Go figure.

Bobby has come a long way from his 9-year-old self, plucking on his first nylon six-string – this guy knows his 80’s rock! A legendary list of guitar heroes behind him – somehow he manages to distill the influences of EVH, Page, Gilmour, and Neil Geraldo, blend it with Slash, Steve Stevens, Andy Taylor and Johnny Marr (whew!) into the glorious groove you hear today. His presence has long tracked throughout Jersey shore outposts, and we are lucky enough to include his masterful skills into our arsenal of 80s rock hits. Cheer on Bobby at our next show!

Originally from Long Island, Jeff grew up with the sounds of pioneer “Dare to be Different” station WLIR on his radio and the beginnings of MTV on his television. He honed his skills playing a variety of styles, through the classic rock years, prog rock, grunge, and into the 2000’s, but there has always been a special place in his heart for the 80’s. While Jeff is quite comfortable playing something in an odd time signature by Rush, or with the statistical density of a Frank Zappa composition, he loves getting behind the kit, taking on a classic tune that we all know and love and putting his own signature on it.
Davey literally crashed his way into Radio 80 to take over the groove on bass. While his audition went well, his car is another story. Davey literally crashed his way into Radio 80 to take over the groove on bass. While his audition went well, his car is another story. Nurtured by MTV as a boy, Davey was playing clubs in Phila and NJ by the time he was 16. When he was touring in his 20’s, rumor has it that he would tuck his bass into bed next to him every night, though no one has ever been willing to verify this. Ask him about it on the next Radio 80 gig where he will be laying down the bottom and depending on the night, you may catch him blowing out a sax solo too.
